The Nintendo 3ds is one of the newest DS systems. It is considered one of the newer now because of the 2DS also being offered. I purchased a DSI for my partner and because of her good grades her parents decided to upgrade the handheld system for Jessica because she had been wanting the Nintendo 3DS for sometime. The games for the system are bigger than standard DS games, and also have the option for some of the games to turn off the 3D. the system comes in the box with the Nintendo cards that have arcade games, it turns the card itself into a mini game of the specific character on the card. It has online game play, system link, Nintendo store, and system link, although the battery life is about the same of the normal DS. I have only sampled Lugis Mansion for an hour or so, but Jess is quite addicted to it. She has been stuck at this level for sometime, but I know she will make it past the level, being she is got some great determination. I would recommend this hand held for anyone whom loves Nintendo products. The system costs about 169.99-199.99, but the Nintendo handheld market is great for people with smaller pockets also a regular DS is about 60$ if even because people usually sale online pretty cheap because of the person wanting an upgrade. All Nintendo hand systems seem to be all made the same with small differences between each model. Nintendo has not failed yet except for the motion on the WII (I don't personally like too much controller work ). Games are still pretty fun. I rate 10 of 10 pictures pulled from Google.
This is my blog, a lot of people have one but this one is mine, my blog is like no other, and can not be replaced, my blog is for everyone, This is my blog.

The Originals Are not always better
Hey nerds out there, so I have a random rant I must go on. Over the holiday I get my systems back from my younger sister under the circumstance I let her keep the original XBOX, and so I think to myself, "Ok, I have a 360, and I do not care about the fist Xbox because this is one thing Microsoft did not get right." Little did I know I would be receiving two boxes full of cords, funny smells, and a world of frustration. This sign on was going to be harder than I had originally thought. After two hours I finally got all of the cords separated only to find that the controller was missing the main cord to the system, and on top of that there were no games included to test if the system did work;" Thanks little sister for forsaking me with this mess in the first place," I thought to myself. So I get to work the stupid tray wont open, so off to Google I go and low and behold I find a forum for old school Xbox made by Microsoft themselves, and I am going to leave it nameless for the instructions I received were so ludicrous I don't want my beloved 360 company to be blamed. Step 1. take a butter knife and try to pry the tray open, Step 2. if the knife does not work use a paper clip, Step 3. if nothing works hit the top of the console. No lie step 1 and 2 epic fail, but step 3. well it seemed to work quite well, thank goodness for old fashioned barbaric tactics. I get the tray open only to realize the stupid cord needed teeth fixed after 2 more hours of frustration i fix those and still does not work, so then off to EBAY I go only to find out console working is twenty dollars with everything except for a game, so complete waste of my time and energy on something that needs a bat took to it. I call my sibling and tell her the news and tell her to get the PS2 for an older system and leave it at that. All this work for something I should have known the original XBOX sucks and will always be at the bottom of my list for old systems. I am however glad that Microsoft did so much better with the 360 kudos to you guys. I will never take on another original Xbox, and no one can make me. Xbox original you can just die and stay dead for I will not waste any more energy trying to bring you back. Your bulky, loud, and frankly annoying, and I do not need you in my life. Super nerds don't be fooled by the word original sometimes it is not better.

Todays good news
I the super nerd of this blog was invited to write an article for somewhere to see if i qualify to write for money. I am super excited and can not wait to figure out what to write about, and no worries my nerds I will not forget this blog, this just happens to be a chance for me to do something in the field I love the most, and I am so nervous. I will eventually decide soon on what to write the article about, and of course it will have something to do with games, at this time my Bishop is moving towards the Queen, nerves are shaking, and I am hoping for the best. I am new to the blogging but I have found i seem to be better at it than expected, so kudos to me. This is only the beginning to a future so bright, not even Ray Ban's can stop that shine...Kidding I am not one to go up against something like that yet, but maybe in the future somewhere. I also have to say about this it was not as expected as I thought looking for codes xbox is supposedly sending me. This slow process of everything is taking a toll on my patience mainly because I have none. It just so happens I am waiting on to many things at once and it has over loaded me with questions. Most commonly in my head is the dreaded Clorox commercial which has nothing to do with anything but it disagrees with my ADHD medication all the time to haunt my thoughts and make my patience non existent. I shall blame it on the "mental" problem today and go hunting for my million dollar idea tomorrow, and who knows I may find it sleeping tonight in my dreams within some sort of movie with people whom are not famous. I will do as I can and strive to be my best for my wife, fans, family, and... wait this so sounds like a Grammy speech I shall save it until it is needed. Until then nerds just bet on seeing more of this super nerd in the future I'm the hero with the headset on my head, controller in hand, S on my arm, and N on my chest. I shall never back down and I shall keep striving until the end of my time. Till next time nerds I bid you adieu.

New Nintendo Supaboy handheld system
So my friend Jordan told me about this new handheld system called the Nintendo Supaboy. It is a handheld system that looks like the old Super Nintendo controllers. The handheld takes the old school cartridges from the original Super Nintendo and the Famicom cartridges. Also it comes with two outlets in which you can plug in old Super Nintendo controllers and play with a friend it plugs up via video/audio out into a TV. The new ones come with all the hookups for the multi-player buying used you will just have to read for the extras. Has volume control, rechargeable Ion battery with approximately 5 hours of battery life, screen size is approximately 3.5 inches, head phone jack, volume button, its a pretty decent price between $70.00-100.00 personally i think the 100 is a little high, but for being able to play it hand-held and on a T.v. its not so bad. The games can be found online at various sites and at pawn shops so you can still get cheaper games from $6.00-30.00. Picture taken from google

sega genesis wireless game console
The new old school Sega Genesis classic game console features 80 games! the info below is some of my own and some from the game critic site, the picture was pulled from the Walgreens online store.
The 80-game selection claimed by the box is somewhat deceptive. There are actually 40 classic Genesis titles and 40 filler titles that resemble free Flash games you'd play on your PC.
The good news is that the collection of Genesis games is impressive. You get first-rate 16-bit titles like Comix Zone, Ecco the Dolphin, Eternal Champions, Golden Axe, Shinobi III, Vectorman, Sonic the Hedgehog, and all three Street of Rage games. There are several hard-to-find titles including Ristar, Gain Ground, and Virtua Fighter 2. I don't believe Jewel Master or Golden Axe 3 were even previously released in America.
Here is the complete list of Genesis games: Alex Kidd, Alien Storm, Altered Beast, Arrow Flash, Bonanza Brothers, Chakan, Columns, Columns 3, Comix Zone, Crack Down, Decap Attack, Ecco, Ecco 2, Ecco Jr., E-Swat, Eternal Champions, Fatal Labyrinth, Flicky, Gain Ground, Golden Axe (all three), Jewel Master, Kid Chameleon, Mean Bean Machine, Ristar, Shadow Dancer, Shinobi III, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Sonic the Hedgehog (1 & 2), Streets of Rage (all 3), The Ooze, Vectorman (1 & 2), and Virtua Fighter 2.
That's a lot of 16-bit action for the money. The games play well, and the composite output looks so sharp you'll think you're playing the arcade versions. The original Genesis had a very "fuzzy" video quality, so this is a major step up.Unfortunately since the games are emulated they do not play 100% like the originals (this goes for using real cartridges as well). Sonic never quite reaches the speeds he reached on the real Genesis - although he does come close. Also, some of the music is a little off-key. You can't have everything right? Those who still play Genesis games on a regular basis will notice slight discrepancies here and there, but most casual gamers will not. Overall Genesis Classic Game Console packs a substantial amount of 16-bit joy into one convenient package. Timeless games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Streets of Rage will appeal to everybody, and the more obscure titles will attract classic gaming enthusiasts. Thanks to the nifty wireless controllers, it's easy to sink many hours wading through these blasts from the past. And it is time well spent.

New Vs. Old Round 1
So I have been looking around at old game systems, and new ones also, and has anyone else remembered there were no Save Files for Nintendo, the option was to leave the game on all night or make it to level 25 and dreadfully turn the power button off and be so mad the next day to why did I just do that? Well I have noticed something very noticeable about old and new systems I will start here with Round 1: on the old school Nintendo there were cartridges Vs. Now disks. Nintendo you could leave on all night with out over heating, unless it got the weird digitized screen or pink screen, and I know everyone who played the original Mario remembers this. Although the new systems have automatic save the over heating problem only solved with inter-coolers, storage space and disks. To me that is not a problem solved only a band aid on the truth old school systems were hardcore in the means of playing. I personally remember making bets on how fast I could get to a certain level or beat a certain "Boss," and now the lime light of gaming is centered around cheat codes specialized weapons and save points, and here is my point older systems were technically harder and more fierce because of the low graphics, longer levels, harder levels, and dying every random cliff or whatever the games basis was. I am not however saying the new systems are terrible I own the Xbox 360 and I have a personal connections with "Darkwing" (Thats my Consoles name) I just sometimes miss a good challenge and record beating of side by side multi-player and multi-player in general not many new consoles offer good split screen games, and the ones offered I promise I have played and beaten at least once. I can not be the only person feeling the phase out of older systems disheartening and completely ludicrous, and this is only for the fact the younger generation will never know how to clean a cartridge with a q-tip or play all night only to make it to the castle which you lost your last life on to restart. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for older systems and I know a lot are phased out, but no worries to the classic gamer Nintendos, Super Nintendo, Saga, Game Boy, Game Cube, etc. can still be found on ebay, amazon, and various pawn shops and I will say there is a new older system its is called the Hyperkin Retro 3 it has other names but this console is a new console but plays Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis games all in one system. It comes in various colors and is around 70.00$ not to bad for a 3-in-1. There is also some new old systems called throwbacks they have so many games from the specific console sold at all kinds of stores, for instance the Atari throw back features like 80 games I think for 49.99 and the Sega throw back for 59.99 and I cant remember how many games it has built right in. So no fear gaming nerds there are systems still around that you can play your classics on. I know that new game systems are created so many a year but don't worry a classic is a classic without them the gaming industry honestly would not have gotten as far as it has today. All classics have paved the way to online gaming, sharing, competing, and pro gamers, but I am not sure if a today pro-gamer could beat the old school arcade gamer at Pac man or pinball, but it would be something I would be interested in seeing with my own eyes. Although not many old games themselves are sold they are around, and some of you may still own a console or two, if you do happen to own an older console let the younger generation play at least once just to get giggles of how many times they die and/or ask you for help. Do you guys think games or games? Do you think old is better than new at a harder level play, and obvious reasoning says all newer systems have better graphics, questions or comments post on it.
Introduction
Hey out there enterwebs, Welcome to my blog, I am 24 years young, and I Super Nerd have decided to create the best kind of nerd blog it will feature from old to new game systems, video games, action figures, comic books, walk- through guides, and whatever I see deemed fit for a random rant rave or someone has specifically asked me about a certain subject, yes that means I answer questions, and no worries if I dont get to your question right away I probably have not had a chance to read all the way down to a specific question, and I will state to keep it old fashioned in the sense first come first serve so if your question is 22 you will be number 22. Also there will be rules listing simply put don't ask questions that are hateful, hurtful or anything that might be in human, and I know there will be rants and raves about this Vs. that and all of that that is fine old school knock out video game rules keep it clean. That way a various amount of people can enjoy my services as a blogger and fellow nerd without them getting grounded for a "bad word," plus I have younger kids whom look up to me so I am attempting to do a family friendly blog, and I hope it takes off as well as I would like. I am not the perfect nerd but I will also try to do my best at doing everything at a timely manner and reaching out on a variety of subjects to keep people interested in coming back. I want this to be one of the top nerd blogs and I know thats dreaming a bit but all nerds dream this happens to be mine.
